“The syntactical nature of reality, the real secret of magic, is that the world is made of words. And if you know the words that the world is made of, you can make of it whatever you wish.”— Terence McKenna (via buddhanature) (via mabonmoon, teachingliteracy) (via crystal-river)
just spent the last three hours at a club in snobsdale, Martini Ranch, for my best friend’s birthday, grinding and rubbing up on my boyfriend to the likes of Michael Jackson, Adele, Led Zeplin, Kansas, Katy Perry, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Journey. That DJ really knew his shit. My best friend used a couple of her many wiles to con some poor shmuck into buying our group of friends 3 bottles of vodka and tequila. I have to say, it was totally worth the expedition into the land of guidos and bro-hoes.
i've been thinking - should we have a ban on dream interpretation questions at tumblr coven? we've been getting more and more of them lately, and i think it's kind of outside the purview of the blog. your answers have been great, but i think you hit the nail on the head when you said dreams are sometimes meaningless and ultimately very personal. dreams are full of symbols that are meaningful only to the dreamer - that's the point! i feel like it's a bit silly to ask someone else tell you what the significance is to YOU, you know? thoughts?
(i've been trying to answer a few more questions lately, and will hopefully be able to help more!)
I totally get what you’re saying. It’s hard to interpret dreams unless they’re your own because the symbols are so relative and what stands out to me may not be what stands out to the dreamer. To be honest, I think it’s a great idea. On top of it, symbols and meanings are easily found on the internet if someone only takes the time to look. Granted, I’m glad people are coming to us at TC for answers but it’s becoming a bit absused with all the requests for dream interpretations.
